Better than Barbies!

Filed under: Challenge,Mix and Match — Candy Lemmon @ 3:37 pm

A couple days ago, Ach tricked some of you into showing your skivvies for the sake of fashion and fun. We’re not exactly strangers to public semi-nudity, and Van thought it about was time we joined this sexy party.

So, dress us up! Tired of the red hair, sick of seeing Van in bow-ties, like to see me in something classy for once? Leave a suggestion and we’ll try it, no matter how different. I tend to visit the same stores over and over, and we haven’t broken our molds in a while. Just pretend we’re Barbie and Ken, but better. Heehee!

1. Post a picture of yourself in your underpants.
2. In this post, invite your readers to suggest a particular outfit (or hair, jewelry, shoes, skin, etc.) from a designer for you to purchase and write about. (Designers, feel free to suggest items from your own line – why not, after all?) People who respond should explain why they like these items.
3. In the next few weeks, look back over the suggestion list and incorporate these ideas into your regular blogging, marking these entries with the tag “dress me up.” Post in as many or few suggestions as you want. It’s up to the blogger’s discretion to pick which items to wear, so no complaining if they don’t pick your idea, K? :D

I’d like to say a big “Thank You” to Achariya, for always bringing the love to our community, and making things a little more awesome everywhere she goes. Cheers to her, she may have found the cutest way to get your friends naked!

  1. GEEZ. Look at you and how totally cool this is. I love how you made these items into paper doll clothing, and I’m fighting my desire to print you out, cut this all up, and dress you up :D :D

Thank you so much for playing, can’t wait to see what else you wear.

  3. Awww, thank you ladies! I’m glad you like the picture and all, but it’s awful cold to be standing around in your undies.

Somebody suggest somethin’ already, I’m getting a chill!

  4. LOL. Okay darnit.

I want to see boy-you wearing a yukata and geta, with long samurai hair from Little Heaven perhaps. And girl-you would look awesome in Creamshop, for hair, jewelry, and clothing. (I love the ponchos there.) ♥

  5. This may sound a bit unusual, but whatever, lol. I would love to see you do a completely casual look…like something you would wear to a football game on a Friday night. Old jeans, comfy sweatshirt, uber-comfy sneakers, messy hair. I think it would be adorable on you.

    Haha…maybe I’m a little bit too random…

  6. I was thinking it might be fun to see something completely retro – such as would be suitable for Mad Men.

  7. Achariya,

I can understand why you may have gotten the impression that Candy and I are the same person. Rest assured, I exist.

Candy and I are husband and wife in real life. I am an extremely busy individual. Just wait for MY brutal samurai post coming soon.

  8. Ach – Creamshop!!! I’m all over that like sprinkles on donuts.

Stacie – So, believe it or not I actually gasped aloud when I read your comment. Casual, sweatshirts, football! All these things are totally foreign and this is going to be a serious challenge. I love it!

and Cajsa – You seriously read our minds. We’ve been planning a Mad Men shoot for some time, and this will get us up off our virtual butts. Thank you for the perfect idea!

  10. Ok I’m not gonna tell you what to wear or what to buy, just gonna give you the looks I’d like to see :)
I’d like you 2 to really dress like Barbie and Ken…or…to both wear the same outfit, skin, hair etc. and pose together. So find something that looks good on both men and women :)

  13. Since I am a dork, I’d love to see you dressed in something from Weirdiculous (formerly known as “Weird Shit”. :) The dorkier, the better!
